Guidance Notes – Click to Download Notes
Each presentation consists of a slideshow with photo and video content in addition to slide-specific notes for the presenter. These notes are intended as a guide.
The presentations are intended to provide the basis of the teaching session.
In addition, we envisage that presenters will have with them examples of beekeeping equipment and bee produce, when presenting the relevant modules.
- Bee suit
- Hive tool
- Smoker (empty)
- Brush
- Fully functioning hive if possible (empty)
- A frame of capped honey
- Jar of honey
- Observation hive if possible
- Any other equipment deemed of interest by the presenter.
If this is not possible, Module 3 contains videos and photos of the above.
Each module will finish with a quiz on that day’s presentation.
There is also a 5-minute video on opening and inspecting a hive which we would strongly advise the presenters to use in conjunction with the slide presentations.
At the end of the 6-week course, participating students will receive a FIBKA certificate of attendance.
