The Federation of Irish Beekeepers Associations FIBKA

Schools

Bees are fascinating and one of the joys of being a beekeeper is to share our fascination with the next generation.

Indeed we should see it as an integral part of our role to educate children about the importance of pollinators, including our favourite, the honeybee.

Fortunately, children find bees as fascinating as we do and are quick to give a beekeeper their attention.

We encourage all our Associations to engage with their local schools and youth groups to further this aim.

To this end, we offer a free primary schools presentation tool for beekeepers to use for classroom visits.

In return, we ask you to kindly agree for us to contact you for your feedback.

For all queries please contact youth@irishbeekeeping.ie.
